Independence on the 4th of July

Four years ago, I decided my life needed a change. My life was a mess, and the common denominator was me. It took time, but things have improved because I learned to set boundaries no matter how painful. I decided to learn to value myself. I’m still a work in progress.

Yesterday I received an email. Well, my husband saw it first and told me it was there. It was from my Mother. Long story short, it talked about family, loss, and regret, which I found interesting, knowing it was yet another attempt to soothe her aching soul.
